“How does architecture become evidence? What particular conditions of politics are opened, or closed, by the collapse of the architectural field into the legal one? Grenfell, the deadliest civilian incident to take place in the United Kingdom in the past three decades, fundamentally hinges on a matter of architecture. This fact alone seems to call for a re-examination the intricate relation between architecture and evidence, through which a recent history of architecture’s claim to truth may be reconstructed.”
